In a study done in 2013 rats were given pyrethroids which is a chemical insecticide. This caused liver damage in the rats. However the rats that were also given marjoram oil showed less damage to the liver. Making marjoram a possible way to protect people exposed to this chemical insecticide.
This oil can be used aromatically and topically with a carrier oil.
